Gifted

The word "Gifted" has been a very popular word in Hollywood Blockbusters and more often than not is about superheroes.

We can actually apply this situation in our daily life. As a motivation. When you watch all those superheroes movies, not all superheroes are born as superheroes.

They get their power by an accident. Then they start developing their "talents".

The Engaging Brand listed 10 Lessons on Finding and Branding Talent. You may be able to follow these lessons or maybe you can even create your own. If you work in the Human Resources department or you are simply an average joe who is looking for the right person to do the job.

I would say, look for the one that is eager to learn. As for me, If that person tell me how much he can learn if he were chosen for the job, that particular person is shortlisted at that moment.

As the more that "gifted" talent learn how to master his/her ability. The more powerful he/she is.

How to Handle Bad Days

Have you ever have a day where everything you do seems to be wrong. You doesn't know what happen but everything seems so wrong.

You wake up for work and you accidentally drop the coffee cup and it broke into pieces, the coffee stain is on your favourite shirt, you tried to pick up the pieces and you end up cutting yourself.

You got into your car, drove off, after 15 minutes of driving, you forgot your laptop!!!

What a way to make your day.

Now, you can choose to be grumpy all day at work, home and snap anytime when someone around you say the wrong thing.

or

You can choose to take a deep breath after all that happen and think positive. You don't need to put hope into yourself of what will happen, most people can't do that.

There is this simple yoga called the laughing yoga, all you do is just laugh and laugh and laugh. But if you think it's hard to laugh after all the bad things that had happen to you, try to implement the "Smiling Yoga".

Where you take a deep breath and picture someone smiling in your head. I have been doing it a lot and it works very well for me. I managed to get through the bad days and stay positive for the rest of the day.

What Separates You From Chimps

For many years scientist has been conducting research and studies to examine how smart a chimpanzee could be.

The result is truly shocking when scientist found out that they share most of our genes, they seem to be able to handle tools, and they grasp some English pretty well, too. Could Darwin's theory be true after all?

But what separates us from chimps is that chimps do not have the self-control humans do.

Where people often censor their words and actions to fit a social situation, chimps generally act on impulse. If they are hungry, they will ask for food; if they are angry at another chimp, they might take a swat at him.

So do you know any chimps around?

How a Picture Blog Become Millions of People's Weekly Routine.

I am talking about PostSecret. PostSecret is a picture blog updated every Sunday and it has at least a million visitors in a week.

What PostSecret does is very simple, it gives an address and allow people to send in a postcard with their deepest secret written on the postcard anonymously and PostSecret will upload it to the blog.

With a million views every week on the blog this shows that we, as a human being actually cares. As for myself, I read other's secrets and I put myself in the shoe of the person with that secret and I will actually be glad that I am not in that situation. At the same time I will sympathize the person with the secret although I have no idea who is him/her.

On the other hand, people with a dark secret feels that he/she need to let it out so badly. It is in our nature as human. We will feel better if we share our problem -which more often than not turns to be our deepest darkest - .

When you tell it out and share it with others even if you do it anonymously and someone out there that you don't know shows sympathy to you, think about how much you life will be so much better after letting those secrets out and someone out there actually cares.

For many years people have been going to confession box, counseling and all those have proven to works. It remove the knot in one's heart.

The main reason is that there's others out there who actually cares.

Detecting Alzheimer's From The Early Stage

Alzheimer's is the most common cause of dementia and 24 Million people worldwide has been diagnosed with the disease. Alzheimer's is a progressive and terminal disease for which there is currently no cure for it at the moment.

The latest medications can only delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, but none are able to reverse its devastating effects. This limitation often makes early detection as the vital points to Alzheimer’s patients maintaining a good quality of life for as long as possible.

Families usually waits until their mom or dad does something dangerous like forgetting to take their medication or getting lost before bringing them for testing. This is not very favourable as at that point the patient has lost a significant portion of their cognitive function.

But the team in Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University has developed a new device that allow patient to take a brief , inexpensive test that could be administered as part of a routine yearly checkup at a doctor’s office to detect mild cognitive impairment (MCI) — often the earliest stage of Alzheimer’s.

As the famous saying goes, "Prevention is always better than cure".

How to Change Someone's Life?

It takes a simple answer to that question, show that you actually cares.

It doesn't matter where you are from, what is you ethnic, gender and age. You just need to show people around you that you cares for them.

It can take just a passing smile to turn someone’s day around. Or a gentle pat on the back to pick up the pieces.

It's amazing how a simple idea of giving out "free hugs" managed to get 10,000 supporters, 24 Million views on YouTube and the word across the world.

Have you change someone's life?
